As August comes to a close, the children will be back in
school this week. Many households will be looking for ways
to handle those busy evenings of meal preparation, family
activities and school-sponsored events.
Help
is on the way. This week you will hear from two new business
owners who are ready to help with the meal preparation.
Easier
food prep
Dinner
on Demand, Harrisburg's only "meal assembly studio,"
will be opening this fall at 4939 N.C. 49 S., in Killian Plaza.Owners
Jennifer Pyne and Melissa Shoupe see this venture
as an opportunity to help busy families eat nutritious meals
together, even on the nights that are a little hectic.
As
busy mothers themselves, they know it can be hard to find
the time to prepare a good meal. After visiting another meal
preparation business, they decided a similar endeavor was
needed in Harrisburg.
The
owners said, "Dinner on Demand will be a fun, new concept
in meal preparation. Here's how it works:
"In
less than two hours, guests will assemble 12 healthful meals
to be taken home and frozen or refrigerated for use in the
weeks ahead. Smaller meal packages will also be available
for singles or smaller families.
"Dinner
on Demand makes mealtime easier by doing all of the prep work
and all of the cleanup, so families can spend more time together.
"For
those people who don't even have two hours per month to come
in and prepare meals, Dinner on Demand will assemble the meals
for an additional charge. Private parties with discounts for
the party organizer can be scheduled as well."
